Tampa Theatre to Show Live Broadcast of the Presidential Inauguration on the Big Screen

Tampa Theatre is proud to welcome the community for a historic live broadcast of the Presidential Inauguration Day Ceremony on the big screen. As a service to the community, admission is free, and seating is first-come, first-served. The theatre will open at 10 am, the broadcast begins at 11 am, and the historic swearing-in on the steps of the U.S. Capitol will commence at 12 noon, followed by the 56thinaugural parade. The Tampa Tribune is providing promotional assistance.

“Tampa Theatre is the heart and soul of Tampa Bay, so it’s glorious that we can gather there with our community to view and celebrate this historic event,” says Tampa City Council member and Tampa Theatre member Linda Saul-Sena.

The concessions stand will be open for sales of sodas, coffee, popcorn and sweets. Guests are welcome to bring bag lunches. For a list of downtown eateries, visit www.tampasdowntown.com.

Tampa Theatre is located in downtown Tampa at 711 N. Franklin Street. For directions, visit www.tampatheatre.org. Downtown workers may prefer to stroll down to Tampa Theatre, and most street parking meters are two hour meters and take quarters. There are two City of Tampa public garages near Tampa Theatre — Poe Garage (800 N. Ashley Drive near the Public Library and the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center) and Fort Brooke Garage (107 N. Franklin Street – enter on Whiting Street).
