About My Tampa Life

MyTampaLife has, in it’s short lifespan, gone through some pretty turbulent and interesting changes. What started out as a review of what I was doing and learning right after I moved to Tampa took a turn quickly towards more of a review and photo montage site. Originally, I started MTL to show the power that subject matter blogging could hold on the internet to a former boss I had. The success came quickly and I soon had dozens of followers.

As time moved on, there have been technical changes that allowed me to bring more content and in a better format. MTL moved from the antiquated Blogger format to the much more robust WordPress format. Also, as time wore away at me, I ended up changing jobs so I have much less time to do updates. Where I used to update several times per day,  I now find myself doing a dozen updates over the weekend and a sparse few during the week.

I’m currently looking for contributors (writers, photographers, etc.) who want to continue My Tampa Life, writing about and photographing their experiences here in the Tampa Bay Area. I will still be highly involved, but I want to showcase some other local talent and opinions and make MyTampaLife a much more vibrant and active place. While it’s a non-paying gig, it will give you a forum to distribute your work in a way that is seen by thousands of people every week. If you’re interested, contact me.
